Generating chords automatically from last used scale
Here is an easy way to generate scale-related chord shapes based on the last scale used on the virtual instrument.
This involves drawing a custom constraint box to layout the scale how you want (here the two bass strings are used for this), and transferring the resulting scale shape into a layer, to be made visible shortly. The Chord menu “Automatic” option is then chosen, and the layer holding the scale shape is made visible. The “Chord complexity” widget is used to select ninth chords.
As a scale note is clicked on, so the appropriate chord type is generated. The chord is editable, and invertible. Selections can be made on the chord to create an arpeggio. The chord or arpeggio can be transferred with one click into a Rhythm-X track.
